The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The First Amendment is a great bulwark of freedom in our society.  These aspects of society where "Congress shall make no law..." (freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc.) are where freedom blooms in our lives.

Have you ever wondered why something so fundamentally important as the First Amendment is an amendment to the constitution?

The original constitution as proposed and ratified had no such protections of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc.   Our beloved Bill of Rights consists of amendments to the constitution.

The original constitution was more concerned with defining powers for the central government than it was with protecting the rights of the people.  I opposed the constitution in 1787, fearing that it would produce a strong central government.  I also helped enact the Bill of Rights.

I acknowledge that in the two centuries since the constitution was enacted, the federal government has done much good.  Now i believe the time has come to reform the federal government by privatizing it, and for the several states to return to being free and independent states.

Congress shall make no law.

The first sentence of the Organic Rebirth of American Communities Amendment ("Congress shall make no law.") is a revision of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.  This precisely worded sentence is intended to close any and all loopholes in our beloved Bill of Rights.

All federal activities shall be private.

Participation in federal activities shall be voluntary!

Any federal organization which desires anyone's participation or funding must ask, and may only proceed upon hearing a "Yes" from that person.

These United States are and of right ought to be free and independent states.

If the Organic Rebirth of American Communities Amendment passes, this will be the second time that these states have become free and independent.  The first time was: July 2, 1776.  On that date, the Continental Congress passed my resolution "that these United Colonies are and of right ought to be free and independent States."

I believe that the example of our 51 states learning to live together as free and independent states would be a beautiful gift that we could give to the rest of the world.
